Soma Ayurveda was established in 2016 by Mary Rider, your certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. Located in Southern Vermont, Mary welcomes her clients into her home-studio for Ayurvedic consultations, treatments, cooking classes, workshops, and retreats. She is empowered to share the benefits of Ayurveda with others after finding it's powerful health benefits for herself.
Translated to the "Science of Life", Ayurveda is an ancient healing modality originating from India. It's the knowledge of what is beneficial and harmful to your health, as well as what generates happiness and suffering.
Soma Ayurveda offers a variety of services aimed at promoting health, preventing disease, and treating imbalances using traditional Ayurvedic principles including diet, lifestyle recommendations, and therapies.
Mary is a NAMA certified Ayurvedic Practitioner with a lengthly past of Ayurvedic studies. She received her training at the Ayurvedic Institute with the renowned physician and professor, Dr. Vasant Lad. She went on to complete her Graduate Internship Program at the Ayurvedic Institute and now continues to study with Ayurvedic Clinician and Instrucotor, Kashyapa Fisher.
In 2022, she became certified and nationally recognized as an Ayurvedic Practitioner by NAMA, the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.
Soma Ayurveda emphasizes genuine Ayurvedic practices, led by an experienced practitioner trained in traditional Ayurveda.
